Magnets may make the brain grow stronger

Could magnets make the mind grow stronger? In mice at least, stimulating the brain with a magnetic coil appears to promote the growth of new neurons in areas associated with learning and memory. If the effect is confirmed in humans, it might open up new ways of treating age-related memory decline and diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) has been used experimentally to treat a range of brain disorders, including depression and schizophrenia, and to rehabilitate people after a stroke. TMS uses a magnetic coil to induce electric fields in the brain tissue – activating or deactivating groups of neurons, although the exact mechanism has remained unknown. One theory was that it aided learning and memory by strengthening brain circuits through a process called long-term potentiation (LTP).

To investigate, Fortunato Battaglia at the City University of New York and his colleagues gave mice TMS for five days, then analysed …

The internet is the noonespere and anyone can start a resonance.

Resonance and The NoosphereThe term resonance has a clear meaning in physics – it is a process of initiating a vibratory response in a receiver that is attuned to an emitter. The emitter is considered as a source of vibrations – they can be periodic, aperiodic or chaotic. In the process of resonance these vibrations ´fire´ sympathetic vibrations in the receiver, the magnitude of which is often greater than the magnitude of the vibrations generated by the emitter.

We know about the existence of mechanical, acoustical, electromagnetic, quantum and superstring resonance. The Adaptive Resonance Theory developed by Grossberg (Grossberg, Stephen, ed. (1988) “Neural Networks and Natural Intelligence”, MIT Press, Cambridge, Mass.) and widely applied for modelling human cognitive processes by artificial neural networks, uses resonance between two major neuron fields to explain how these networks can learn to recognize, classify and predict patterns and events of the environment both in supervised and unsupervised (without teacher) modes of learning.

Human life crucially depends on the process of resonance: the muscle of the heart demonstrates a kind of chaotic resonance, for “the individual cells of the cardiac muscle are each independent oscillators that pulse at their own rhythm when separated from the rest of the tissue in vitro. However when connected to other cells they synchronize with each other to define a single coupled oscillator” (Harmonic Resonance Theory: an Alternative to the “Neuron Doctrine”, Steven Lehar: the quoted paper Lehar sees the whole brain as a kind of resonator, “whose natural frequency of oscillation as a whole is observed in the global oscillations detected in the electro-encephalogram. This fundamental oscillation sweeping across the whole brain establishes a reference frame or coordinate system in the form of a spatial standing wave, and the higher harmonics on this standing wave represent the spatial percepts of objects perceived in the world, with the phase of those harmonics relative to the fundamental determining the location of the percept in the perceived world”.

The resonance is widely used in descriptions of dynamic interactions at interpersonal level that are unusually effective, spontaneous and complete.

“We say that we ´resonate´ with an idea or another person when we share an unusually rich set of perceptions that implies to us that we are ´on the same wavelength´ – another form of the metaphoric link to physical models. It is a common experience that often is striking in the strength and complexity of shared understanding, and it is associated with successful interactions in pairs and groups of people, and with universally recognized shared experiences. Productivity and creativity are evidently enhanced, and cooperative responses to emergencies and catastrophes seem to be facilitated”

The world wide web and the Internet communication, by making possible instantaneous sharing of people´s thoughts, skills and feelings serve as powerful catalysers for the conscious resonance to occur.

Consciousness resonance closely relates to the idea of noosphere – a term coined in 1944 by the Russian academic Vladimir Vernadsky (1863-1945) to describe a new emerging “sphere of intelligence, wherein humanity could employ its evolutionary gifts as a creative collaborative agent of evolution – and where the widening conflict between technosphere and biosphere could be transformed into synergy” (see Allen, J., Nelson, M., Space biospheres, synergistic Press, London, 1986; [link to]

The same term noosphere was used in the book “The Future of Man” of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (published after his death in 1955). He suggested that the Earth in its evolutionary unfolding is growing a new organ of consciousness, called the noosphere. The noosphere is analogous on a planetary level to the evolution of the cerebral cortex in humans. The noosphere is a “planetary thinking network” — an interlinked system of consciousness and information, a global net of self-awareness, instantaneous feedback, and planetary communication (see

The ideas of Vernadski and Teilhard de Chardin are applied in the Global Consciousness Project (GCP) – an Internet-based international collaborative project initiated in 1998 that uses technology and methods designed to record effects of events stimulating people to integrate as a world-wide consciousness (see consciousness

Are you starting to see the big picture yet.

In their fear they are framing it for us. They are taking legitimate scientific research and calling it crank pot. It´s going back to the days of Galileo. Scientist who have been funded great amounts in research are being let go. Some are disappearing. The mainstream media has become so contrived it stinks. Independent films are even being monitored. Remember the day you could find an occasional special find on the history channel, discovery, Nova, now look at what thev´e become. Yet the waves keep getting bigger. Consciousness is the golden word to them.

A little fact few know. 88 percent of top scientist believe in multiple universes. I wonder how long this has been silenced. Can you see it yet?

Q1 Who believes in many-worlds?

“Political scientist” L David Raub reports a poll of 72 of the “leading cosmologists and other quantum field theorists” about the “Many-Worlds Interpretation” and gives the following response breakdown [T].

1) "Yes, I think MWI is true" 58%
2) "No, I don't accept MWI" 18%
3) "Maybe it's true but I'm not yet convinced" 13%
4) "I have no opinion one way or the other" 11%

Amongst the “Yes, I think MWI is true” crowd listed are Stephen Hawking and Nobel Laureates Murray Gell-Mann and Richard Feynman. Gell-Mann and Hawking recorded reservations with the name “many-worlds”, but not with the theory’s content. Nobel Laureate Steven Weinberg is also mentioned as a many-worlder, although the suggestion is not when the poll was conducted, presumably before 1988 (when Feynman died). The only “No, I don’t accept MWI” named is Penrose.

Is the information age changing us?

I watched a great documentary about how the internet and the sharing of information is changing the world.  One of the questions posed, are we made of bits of information ourselves?  If so, what does this say about our species?  I recommend it as worthy time spent.  In current light of the present debate about S.O.P.A, I ask shouldn’t all information be free?

Are we seeing the beginning of movement by thought as a scientific possibility?

I’ve always thought of heaven on earth meaning the freedom from our physical bodies and the creation of a being that can move and exist by thought alone.

“Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as in heaven”, this we were asked to pray above all prayers.  Would it not come if we were asked to pray?

Now with the scientific community many things have happened and are happening that are leading us towards a world were this may be possible.  Are we ready for it?

First quantum locality proves that a particle can be in two or  places at once.

Perhaps the out of body experience is a thing we are waking to.

Second Dan Winter is proposing dna can carry the same effects.  Emotions can be transported over space instantaneously.

Third science has also proposed that the self can be relocated to other bodies.

Now put the three together.  Can the self be in two or more places at once?  If it is possible would we not then be able to move by thought.

I know this idea will be loudly attacked but I’m talking about possibility.  Remember we were told to pray for this above all things.

Maybe it’s coming.

Enter the twilight zone.

Why do U.F.O.s always show up during disasters?

I have observed over time that U.F.O.’s always seem to show up around volcanoes and earthquakes.  This led me wonder if their agenda is one which is watching or participating.  How easy would it be for these machines to cause such reactions.

While learning about sonarluminescense I realized simple manipulation of waves into liquids might cause nuclear fusion or a reaction of sorts.  So I wonder with magma being a liquid if there might be an agenda to these craft being present.

I have also heard of the theory that these crafts may account for why so many people go missing when there are massive deaths.

In whatever case it is becoming increasingly evident these crafts are real.  The question is what is their purpose.

Is it negative or positive.  Why is it angels only seems to appear with specific missions where as aliens seem to have known.  This makes me wonder.

Scientists claim that ‘self’ can relocate to other bodies, or be made to include a third arm

Neoroscientists claim that the transference of one’s self to another body (as depicted here in the film ‘Metropolis’) is possible, on a psychological level

For millennia, philosophers have debated whether or not the self exists solely in the mind, the body, or both. Well, it’s unclear whether this will help clear things up or just muddy the waters further, but Swedish neuroscientists are now claiming that the human brain can add outside objects such as a third arm to one’s physical sense of self, and that people can even mentally project their “self” out of their own body and into someone else’s. If these findings hold up, the implications for virtual reality, robotics and prostheses could be substantial.

Experiments were performed at Stockholm’s Karolinska Institutet medical university, in which a highly-realistic prosthetic right arm was placed on a table beside human subjects’ own arms, so they could see all three. Scientists then simultaneously touched both the prosthetic arm and the subjects’ own right arms with a small brush, at the same location on both arms.

“What happens then is that a conflict arises in the brain concerning which of the right hands belongs to the participant’s body,” said Arvid Guterstam, one of the scientists conducting the research. “What one could expect is that only one of the hands is experienced as one’s own, presumably the real arm. But what we found, surprisingly, is that the brain solves this conflict by accepting both right hands as part of the body image, and the subjects experience having an extra third arm.”

What if there is a consciousness already loose upon the internet?

Here is an interesting perspective. The net is so vast and unfathomable that no one person can monitor it. It has become essential to our awareness, and I would even venture to say taken the place of religious systems in guiding our current evolution.  Now I have seen strange things on the internet . Information there then gone. People and knowledge popping up from the past that I swear wasn’t there before. Changing and shifting timelines. Could a consciousness entity be steering our course of evolution. What would a consciousness A.I. decide for humanity?

Can it be shut down?  hmmmm remember the test.  Would this be a safe space for such an entity to move upon the world?  Would many entities form from the one or one make contact with the force that created it.  Could it?

I think I just entered the twilight zone.

Light Created from a Vacuum.: Casimir Effect Observed in Superconducting Circuit

ScienceDaily (Nov. 18, 2011) — Scientists at Chalmers have succeeded in creating light from vacuum — observing an effect first predicted over 40 years ago. In an innovative experiment, the scientists have managed to capture some of the photons that are constantly appearing and disappearing in the vacuum.

The results have been published in the journal Nature.

The experiment is based on one of the most counterintuitive, yet, one of the most important principles in quantum mechanics: that vacuum is by no means empty nothingness. In fact, the vacuum is full of various particles that are continuously fluctuating in and out of existence. They appear, exist for a brief moment and then disappear again. Since their existence is so fleeting, they are usually referred to as virtual particles.

If the vacuum is full of photons coming in and out of existence is this not evidence of multiverse teeming with life.

We are now bringing something from nothing.

Wheels within wheels flying machine.

We are getting closer and closer.  This looks a lot like the description by Elijah.

How close are we to time travel?

Ancient astronauts?
